Her Methods
Using pastels, watercolors and acrylics, she paints portraits so real the spirit shines through. She marvels at how the skin and hair move over bones and muscles to create the magic of a being, whether that be a dog, horse, cat, or person. She paints because her soul calls her to it and for the joy it brings – both to herself and her clients.

When Joanne paints, she enters a meditative state. The images she creates are more profound than the average portrait. Using pencils, pastels, paints and her own intuitive nature, she infuses each portrait with the spirit of its subject.

Her Gifts
Joanne's goal is to have the energy of that being in the painting. She is able to feel when the spirit of the subject moves into the piece. Although she has explored other artistic forms of expression, she always comes back to realism – striking realism. It is her gift.

Joanne is a portrait artist and her portraits hang in Scotland, the U.S. and across Canada. She is also an animal communicator, a Reiki Master/Teacher, a Shamanic practitioner, workshop facilitator and has been an Intuitive for most of her life.
